Komplete Kontrol S series MK1 keyboards End Of Life

Nothing was sly - I have to correct the record on your statement here.
We emailed every Kontrol S MK1 user in our database several days ago.
We created and publicized this Kontrol S MK1 community thread several days ago.
We published this information on our website several days ago.
We added it to the release notes in Native Access today.
That's coming at the issue from four separate communication angles.

Say as you want, but the fact is that i have never received any mail from NI about this, and i'm not alone (see posts above). And as you said NI will ad the release note today while the update is available from several days...
But i received very well all the advertisements and news about new products!

KK MK1 was built like a tank and that’s why is still in use today - metal and glass and little plastic
Interestingly even with much smaller footprint it is half a kilo more than MK3 - well it’s all plastic 😟
MK3 = plastic -fantastic and not very environmentally friendly

Nor did I - in fact NI sent me an email 2 years ago telling me I wasn't going to receive any more notifications because they had determined I didn't want them, even though I was and am still buying new products from them and require support for my existing ones. I tried contacting your laughably named support but they have never responded and I still receive no comms to this day.
I now have a $1500 88 key paper weight based on you being too selfish and lazy to support your products properly. This coincidentally seems to be a bonus for your attempts to extract maximum profit from me.
NI are poor at support, awful at communication and only passable at developing software.
I would advise anyone looking into this market to avoid you now and choose other companies products as you are turning into the Google of music software and always abandoning viable hardware and software and hiding development roadmaps from your customers.

I however didn't and I have a Mk1 S88 that has been registered with them since purchase.
NI unilaterally told me I wasn't going to receive any more emails despite my attempts to change this and despite me being a current customer.

Mk2 user. Really handy having these links available for downgrading back to 2.9.4.

I just used Time Machine on the Mac to roll back.
They probably should make the release notes visible before Native Access installs it. KK 3.0 hard crashes my machine anyway when it started so I suspect it's far from bug free as usual.

It's glass and metal again actually - the Mk II was more plastic

Hope you do not mind my asking but why would a Komplete Kontrol S Mk2 owner need to roll back to 2.9.4? Surely this only applies to Komplete Kontrol S Mk1 owners if they accidently update to 3.0.0 by mistake.

I will answer that myself LOL I have just seen the feedback on the 3.0.0 update😮

I've updated and am very pleased I did. No problems at all and I can make my Spitfire Kontakt Instruments legible for the first time. Well done NI !!

I know this topic is about S-series, but is there also a MK1 vs MK2 difference for the M32 and A-series of keyboards? Or should all these be considered MK2?

These were developed after MK2 so they can be considered as MK2.

Thanks for clarifying 👍🏻

In addition to which, there should be a number of Spitfire specific upgrades coming out next week, and later this year. Focused on their product artwork, and then some other stuff I can't talk about yet.
