Traktor Upgrade Procedure

Guys,

Can anyone adise how to update traktor Pro & retain your same library? Every time I update it installs a new library. Ive been pointing my new Traktor install at my old library in the prefferences but Ive noticed that I have missing stripes & now missing tracks & other meta data.

Ive tried searching but not had any luck finding the definitive guide on how to do this
