My midi keyboard won't play my loaded instruments

Hello, I'm trying out the NATIVE ACCESS demo. In Kontakt 7, when I load an instrument in and try to use the in-program keyboard to sample the instrument, it doesn't play my loaded instrument and only plays the default piano.

What can I do to fix this, as online videos/tutorials don't seem to mention any problem relating to this.

    Make sure the "Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth" is not checked in Midi Preferences.
