Will the original Kontrol S2 (Mk1) work with an iPad?

I bought an original Kontrol S2 back in 2012 before I got married, had kids, and quit DJing. Now my 9 year old son wants to get into it, and I have this old S2 (bought in 2012) and am wondering if it's compatible with an iPad? Thanks!
