I’ve been using Traktor for a long time - ever since the very first versions. Do you remember the stunning design of Traktor DJ Studio 1? So many years have passed, and regardless of who enters the market or which technologies happen to be trending, Traktor remains my favorite application, with its incredible and user-friendly design. I’m genuinely concerned about the current state of the software and the direction its development has taken lately - concerned for the legacy that we all share.
Since I work in IT and see the changes happening all around, I’ve begun to harbor a small hope: perhaps it’s now a bit easier than it was a few years ago to revive Traktor and restore it to its former glory by leveraging modern tools.
I’m referring specifically to the use of AI technologies in development. While they may not solve 100% of the issues just yet, I am confident that problems which have persisted in Traktor for years could finally be addressed, provided there is a genuine intention and desire to do so.
NI, please hear us out: do everything in your power, using these modern tools, to bring Traktor back to life. It’s our favorite application!
