Using Maschine with electric guitar

Hi,

I've started to finally use my Maschine Mk3. I mainly plug in my headphones and the electric guitar while the kids are sleeping and jam around, record loops and add some drums. So there's a few things I haven't understood yet.

• I really like the integration with Guitar Rig. I'm just a bit confused by the logic behind presets and parameter assignments. I think this works like this: in order to have user presets available in Maschine's browser we need NKS (so just Save As… in Maschine). The encoders get their assignment dynmically from the first 8 macros of each preset that is loaded in Guitar Rig but when browsing presets on Maschine the parameters will be derived the NKS. And there is no way to access more than the first 8 GR macros in Maschine?
• Is there a way to predefine uncommon recording (bar) lengths for the sampling mode? I thought about first making a pattern with the number of bars I need and somehow prevent it from growing when recording in Loop mode. So that it automatically stops when the pattern is over. I couldn't make it work, though. Is there a way?

this way you can learn knobs as much as you need on many pages, after clicking "learn" you move a knob on your plugin and it gets mapped, so you can have all 16 macros or parameters directly if you want

And you can pre define recording loop length in the recording tab, or you can pre define it in the preferences under the default tab, disable "grow pattern while recording" and set a lenght here you use mostly then set it manually, in the samplers recording tab, if needed.
