Hi NI / inMusic team and fellow Traktor users,
I'd like to bring the Spotify topic back with **updated facts**, because the situation has changed and many answers here are now out of date.
**What changed**
For years the answer on this forum was *"Spotify doesn't allow DJ software integrations."* That is **no longer true**. On **September 24, 2025**, Spotify officially launched Premium integration with **rekordbox, Serato DJ and djay**, available in **51 markets**. In December 2025 it was extended to rekordbox and djay on mobile.
So the licensing barrier is gone, and three competing platforms have already shipped it. Today **Traktor is the only major DJ software without Spotify.**
**Why this matters for Traktor**
- **Open-format, wedding and mobile DJs** need to play requests on the spot. Spotify's catalog covers far more than any DJ-focused store.
- **Most of us already pay for Spotify** and build our playlists there. Without integration we have to rebuild them by hand or switch tools.
- **Users are moving to other platforms.** DJs who love Traktor's workflow, stems engine and NI hardware are evaluating rekordbox and Serato *only* because of this. Some will move their whole setup, controllers included.
- **It brings new users in.** Beginners start on Spotify. If Traktor connects to their library on day one, they're far more likely to choose it.
**What we're asking for**
This would **add to** Beatport and Beatsource, not replace them. Those services fit club DJs well. We understand Spotify's terms come with limits in other apps (no offline caching, limited stems). Even a basic integration (browse playlists, load to deck, beatgrid, cue) would cover most use cases.
**Questions for the team**
1. Is Spotify integration on the Traktor roadmap, or has NI/inMusic contacted Spotify about it?
2. With the inMusic acquisition, is streaming expansion (Spotify, and also TIDAL / Apple Music) a priority for Traktor?
3. If it's not planned, could you tell us what's blocking it, so the community understands?
**To other users:** if you want this, please **upvote this post and reply** with how you'd use it (genre, gig type, controller). The community team forwards the most-supported ideas to the Traktor team, so volume counts.
Traktor has been my DJ software for a long time, and I'd like to keep it that way. This one feature would make a big difference.
Thanks!
