Title: Maschine 3.7.0 plugin crashes Ableton Live 12.4.3 repeatedly (SIGSEGV in ClipRangeModel on state change)
Setup
- MacBook Pro, Apple M2 Max, 64 GB, macOS 26.6.2 (25G83)
- Ableton Live 12.4.3, running natively (Apple Silicon, not Rosetta)
- Maschine 3.7.0 as a VST3 plugin inside Live
What happens: Live crashed four times in seven minutes (19:00, 19:01, 19:05, 19:07), each time with the same stack. All four crash reports are identical. It happens while working normally with the Maschine plugin open in a Live set; I haven't isolated one exact click yet.
Crash
EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) on the main thread. Top of the crashing thread, identical in all four:
Maschine 3 NI_6_8_5_R2::doActivate<false>(QObject*, int, void**)
Maschine 3 NI::MASCHINE::GUI::qml_module::ClipRangeModel::... (std::function callback)
Maschine 3 nod::signal_type<...>::operator()()
Maschine 3 NI::MASCHINE::DATA::Maschine::onStateChanged()
Maschine 3 NI::ML::TM::TransactionManager::processTransactionObjects(...)
Maschine 3 NI::ML::TM::TransactionManager::process()
Maschine 3 NI::MASCHINE::DATA::Maschine::onTimer()
Maschine 3 NI::MASCOMMON::HeadlessInstance::onEvent(...)
Maschine 3 NI::UIA::EventTimerManager::notifySubscribers()
Foundation __NSFireTimer
It looks like a timer-driven state change notifies the ClipRangeModel (QML) after the object it points at has been destroyed. The crashing frames are all in Maschine 3; no other plugin appears on the crashing thread.
Crash report attached (identifying details removed). Is this a known issue, and is there a fix or a workaround (for example, avoiding a particular view in the plugin window)?
