MX2 : Can we hope for dimmer OFF pads for stems

It is very hard to see what stems are ON/OFF on the MX2, even in dark places.
In addition, seeing ON/OFF stems on traktor's window is not really easy either.

So, could you add an option in traktor to tune down pads luminosity when stems are off ?

I had this same issue with S4 Mk3. My solution was to make the on state blinking LED.

Maybe there is some qml tricks but also it could be hard coded like that.

Blinking is the best way, or so i found. Only alternative would be to make the OFF state have no brightness at all, which doesn't work easily. You'd have to use the colour BLACK for the OFF state. Can be done via qml, but BLACK is not a colour you can select via overmapping.

Blinking seems to be an excellent idea. I'll try to fiddle with the mappings and figure something out.
If I do, I'll post it here and if not, I'll come back for more hints, or help.

OK, I looked into the qml files. I'm a CS teacher so I don't think I'm that nooby 😀.
I stumbled upon a stems.1.mutedproperty which seems to be only exposed. I don't know if these properties can be redefined/replaced… @Sûlherokhh , you seem to be familiar with QT QML so if you have time, any insight would be welcome, and if not well, thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Yup, there lies the gold. If you want to know what is to be done, compare the relevant qml file for the S4MK3 with the identically named file of the CP-Mod for the S4MK3 that you can download in the mod thread. It requires splitting the control part (that connects the button and the mute function) and the LED output part (that connects the button's LED with the mute function) and then expanding the latter to include alternating brightness states as well as the path to extract the stem's colour from the deck's stem file if i remember correctly.
