Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 freeze the displays and sound off

Hi,

I bought a new s4 mk3 (firmware 0.6.1) but there are problems with it!

When I run Traktor pro 4 (4.5.1) on my macbook without the s4 mk 3 connected there are no problems, I can play 4 decks at once and the audio is good no pop, cracks, glitches. Also latencymon shows that my laptop can run the software without any problem.

But when I connect the s4 mk3 the problems start. First everything works as it should, the audio is good, the controller works normally. But after a 2-5 minutes playing or just waiting I alternately experience 2 kinds of problems!

1. The audio stops suddenly but the software and controller continue to work as they should, but no audio comes out of the speakers or headphones.

2. The controller displays freeze but the LEDs of eg the cue or filter button react normal. the music continues to play normally, and the midi inputs of the controller are also detectable in the software.

I've tried everything I can find on the internet but nothing seems to help.

What I've already tried.

-new USB cable

-put laptop in high performance

- all drivers updated

-disabled my bluetooth, wifi, cd rom driver etc.

-......

Does anyone have an idea? Could this be hardware related. The longest I've been able to mix was 10 minutes but this was exceptional, usually the problems come after 2 to 5 min.

I have a macbook air 13 m1, macOs Tahoe 26.6.2.

Thanks for the replies. I've granted full access in the privacy section. Regarding power saving and disabling USB, everything is fine there too. I previously had the same S4 ​​mk3 0.6.0 controller and had no problems, but I sold it six months ago due to a need and now I've bought a new one, and now these problems have appeared. I also noticed that if the controller is connected via USB but the master input is not used, nothing freezes and works for a while. With an external sound card, it works perfectly as a MIDI controller. But if I connect the wires to the master input, everything freezes within a minute. First the displays, then after a minute the sound, and the master output indicator goes out.

It's probably not that simple but did you give full disk access ? Ref. : ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS  .

And if using Sequoia/Tahoe then if prompted to do so then N.I. apps must be added to the Local Network  (Ref. : How to grant audio apps access to your local network on macOS 15 Sequoia)

I didn't see you list a check of the internal USB hubs. They may be automatically powered down to conserve power, even on high performance settings. I always disable this by hand in device manager (windows). There should be something like it on macOS you could try.
