Feature Request: Real-time Waveforms for Live Input (Like Serato/Rekordbox)

Hello Traktor team and community,

I am a long-time Traktor user and I love the software, but there is one feature I really miss when playing on a hybrid setup.

When I switch a deck to "Live Input" to play a real, analog vinyl record, the waveform area is completely empty (showing only the VU meters). It would be amazing if Traktor could draw the audio waveform in real-time as the analog audio comes in, exactly how Serato and Rekordbox already do.

Why this is important:Having the live waveform drawn on the screen provides crucial visual feedback when mixing real vinyl with digital tracks. It helps us see the energy of the analog track, anticipate drops, and feel more confident during live performances.

Since Traktor is already processing the live audio to apply FX and EQs, adding the visual waveform would be a huge quality-of-life improvement for all DJs who still love to spin real wax.

Please consider adding this much-needed feature in a future Traktor update! Thank you!

I wonder how Serato/Rekordbox are doing it. How would anyone be able to analyze audio data before it is fed into an audio interface? With digital data it is easy; just load the whole track before playing any of it. But how would you extract the data beforehand when putting on a vinyl record?

As you mentioned above, Traktor is able to process digitized audio data, but only after some audio has been played and data could be processed. I am sure wavedata could be generated, but only after the fact. No accurate predictive data generation is possible. The only way to predict a drop (as an example) is to know the track or many similarly structured tracks to hone your intuition.

Out of curiosity, can you point to an example where predictive waveform generation is working?
