Traktor Audio 10 lag

I've had my audio 10 sound card for many years, and didn't experience issues until I bought a new MacBook Pro last year (M2 Pro, Sonoma)

I map Traktor to Maschine MK3 and send audio to an Audio 10 routed into an Allen & Heath Xone 42. I also use my Audio 10 as a sound-card for Logic and general sound use.

I'm experiencing serious lag.

When I trigger a track in Traktor, it can take a couple of beats before the sound hits my mixer. The same thing happens in Logic. Once a project is running, everything is fine, but if I stop playback and start again, there will be a second or two delay before the sound hits my mixer.

If I use Maschine as a sound-card, I don't experience these issues, but I can't use Maschine as a sound-card when I'm playing across 4 decks in Traktor + external mixer.

With the Audio 10 being such an old product, I'm struggling to find online resources that address this problem. I've searched this forum and seen other people have experienced similar issues, but I'm yet to find a solid solution.

Also, my Traktor Audio 10 control panel only has a Channel Set up tab, and not the tabs I see referenced online.

Can any one shed a light on what might be happening here?

What does the audio device selection look like? Can you make a screenshot of the opened dropdown menu which lists all available A10 devices?

Neither. I was talking about the first page of the Traktor Preferences window. There is a dropdown selection at the top where you decide which one of the connected audio devices you want to use. I want to know what your selection list looks like.

At least for a Mac control panel software looks fine. Looks same for me on macOS.

Hey @zincwaffle ,

I've had the same experience with Traktor and the Audio 10. To be honest, I can't explain it either—the firmware is up to date.

Interestingly, I don’t have this problem at all with the Audio 6. It works flawlessly, without any lag.

Have you tried using a power supply?

Maybe that’ll help. I had that idea once, but I never actually tried it because I always ended up using the Audio 6 instead.

Hey @OliverGross in all the years I've had the audio 10, I've never bothered with a power supply. It hadn't occurred to me that might be an issue. I'll try and out and let you know
