How does one uninstall an instrument registered in Native Access?

That's it, that's the question. How does one accomplish this?
I see at one point you implemented the feature, bragged about it, now it's gone — I assume it was a buggy unsupportable mess.
There is no "uninstall" in N.A. anymore, but whatever it automated can be done by manually, so What are the steps?

Well, you titled this post "How does one uninstall an instrument registered in Native Access?" and you are the one who suggested that the uninstall feature was not functional anymore…

If it is a third party library that is not to be downloaded from within Native Access, it means the download is done through the manufacturer download app or they provide the download links. Then you put the library somewhere and use the Add Content feature. I also genuinely do not understand what you mean by wanting to unregister in order to change the installation path, or do you have another NI account and want to register it there? And you still don't mention what product. Please check the installation notes or resources from the manufacturer.

Then you're not running latest version, 3.25.2. Let me repeat: There is no Uninstall menu item in the 3-dots menu in version 3.52.2 of Native Access (latest). Apparently 3.6.0 had the feature, but as mentioned it is not an existing thing now.

@Vocalpoint I notice you're on Windows, I'm on MacOS. Given how screwy NI has been, It's not impossible the same-versioned installer has different features on the two platforms.

The "…" menu for a Library item in 3.25.2 (whose installer calls it "Native Access 2"):

The button says "Install" and not "Update" because I realized too late I don't have enough storage on my boot drive. I've registered the instrument and but haven't installed it for want of space. So in fact I want to *unregister* the item and (try to) install elsewhere.

Apologies for that. Yes I am aware of the two huge differences in these OS types.

I thought I read somewhere that uninstalling via NA - IN MacOS is not exactly easy due to the never ending Apple requirements for the user to approve ever single thing they want to do - all the time.

While it would be good if an NI resource could back this up - seems logical to me.

Well, Apple is not alone, NI is perhaps more annoying: I was asked my Native Access password 4x while updating. If their developers can't deal with it, I will by hand. Just, whadya do?

As I mentioned - there is probably a good reason for that. Ask Apple about that.

If the item is not installed, then logically you cannot uninstall it, therefore there is no reason to have "uninstall" as an option.

Also it's not possible to "unregister" something that you bought (because buying it registers it to you).

If you sold the item, then yes it would be "unregistered" but then you also would no longer be able to install it - anywhere.

You need to set a different path as your install location.

You can only uninstall a product if you have installed it. Registering a product is different, it is registered to your account and has nothing to do with the installation location or process.

What product are you trying to uninstall exactly?

The uninstall function is still completely functional, only possible for content at the moment, not for applications. And yes, I've checked on mac with version 3.25.2 and as you can see it totally works for installed products.

OK now we finally we discover it's NOT a Native Instruments product - so what is it? Which product from which company?

If the picture of the button you posted earlier is from the mystery product, then it still applies that it's not installed, so doesn't need unregistering or uninstalling.

Change the path, then install it.
