On arming the sampler record remotely

Hi everyone,

quick Maschine+ question:

Is there any way to start/arm Sampler recording remotely without being on the Sampling page?

I’m using a footswitch connected to the pedal input. When the Sampling page is open, it can control the sampler recording as expected. But outside of that page, the pedal goes back to transport functions like Play/Stop.

What I’m trying to find out is whether there is any alternative way to trigger Sampler recording independently of the current screen, for example via:

* MIDI CC
* Program Change
* MIDI Learn
* some hidden remote/control command
* a different footswitch setup
* or any other workaround

Basically: can the sampler be armed/started remotely without pressing the SAMPLING button first?

I’ve looked through the documentation and haven’t found anything, so I’m starting to think the answer is simply “no”, but it feels odd that the hardware has a dedicated pedal function for sampling while the same command apparently isn’t available via MIDI.

Has anyone found a way to do this on Maschine+ or Maschine 3?

a work around on the software, would be to create a series of mouse clicks with Bomes midi translator pro, whereby you could assign any midi type to execute a series of automated mouse clicks

this of course wouldnt be possible with Maschine+, understandably

on the maschine mk2

the sampler can be locked onto a group, and the "start" sampling button is always at the ready

which basically requires you to select the group, then press "start"

unfortunately i'm not familiar with any other way, or any method of assigning the "start" sampling button to a midi type

maybe someone else knows of a method? i'd also be curious to know if there is a way
