How do you use Maschine+ Inputs when External Headphones are selected as the Audio Device?

I'm finally getting to really enjoy using my Maschine+ after so long, which is a long story, but I'm running into a bit of an issue.

I tend to hangout on Discord a lot at night and have gotten into a habit of making music while hanging out with people online. It's no issue to have audio from Maschine 2 routed to my headphones on my computer so I can hear both the voice chat and Maschine at the same time. I also enjoy streaming my music making sessions so people can hear what I'm up to.

The trouble starts when I want to sample audio with the Maschine+.

Unless I have the Audio Device set to Maschine+, external audio that is plugged in via the back ports doesn't come through at all. I've been trying to mess around with the configuration, but nothing works. I've seen a Mk3 in tutorials do this just fine, but not Maschine+.

Is this a Maschine 2 issue and I just need to get Maschine 3, or is this a problem with Maschine+?

My goal here is to be able to have External Headphones selected as my audio device and for Maschine+ L+R Inputs to be selected for Sampling so while I'm hanging out on Discord, audio from Sampling will play through no problem.

If there is a way to make this happen, I'm all ears. Thank you!

When used standalone, the Maschine+ can use either the internal audio device (i.e. the sockets on the rear) or it can use an external device. It can't use both at the same time.

However, reading between the lines it sounds as if you're using it plugged into your computer here. You're running Maschine 2 on your Mac, with the M+ as a controller?

Not a Mac user here, but I suspect you need to configure an aggregate device.
