Inquiry/Feedback regarding the "Clear Collection" function

Hi development team,

I have a question and a quick piece of feedback regarding how the library management behaves.

I needed to clean up my collection, so I used the "clear collection" function. However, I noticed that all of my playlists disappeared along with the tracks.

Is there a way to run the clear collection function to wipe out all songs from the main library while keeping the playlist structure intact?

My goal is to completely empty the main collection and then re-import files focusing only on the specific playlists I currently perform with, leaving the rest of the unorganized music out. If this isn't currently possible, I'd love to submit this as a feature request for future updates.

I look forward to your response on what the best workflow would be for this scenario.

Ps. I really need to start over, but I'll keep the playlists; I've been collecting 40,000 songs since 2011!

I can understand why that would be frustrating, especially with a collection that has grown over so many years. It would be really useful if the Clear Collection feature included separate options, allowing users to clean up their library while keeping playlists, ratings, and other metadata intact. Having more control over what gets removed would make library management much safer and more flexible. Hopefully the development team considers adding this option in a future update.
