Second Hand Registration failure

Just bought second hand, the seller and I transferred the serial, no issues. Did a factory reset on it, and went to set it up and it always fails on the Registration part. I manually registered it on my phone, no issues, but it STILL gets stuck at "Registration failed" even after I followed the QR code and do it manually. Any help would be appreciated. I know it's the weekend, and I'm probably screwed until Monday.

This is heartbreaking to say the least. I spent a lot of money on this unit, and it's a brick.

I believe that Maschine 3 software may be required after the firmware on the Maschine+ has been updated. If you need a full version of Maschine 3 or an update to Maschine 3 would depend on what you already have on account. Please notice that buying an Update if actually needing a full version could possibly put you in a situation where you would need the help of NI Support to fix things even if buying the full version afterwards.

Symptom

When trying to set up and register your Maschine+, the display shows the error message "Registration Failed".

Solution

Since version 2.1.0, Maschine+ requires a valid Maschine 3 license in your account.
You can purchase a copy here: Maschine 3
Ensure your Maschine 3 license appears in your Native Instruments account. Open Native Access on your computer and click the Refresh icon to sync your licenses before registering on the hardware.

Important Information for Second-Hand Units

If you have purchased a pre-owned Maschine+ that has already been updated to firmware version 2.1.0 (or higher) by the previous owner, please note:

Maschine 3 License Required:
To complete the registration and setup of a device on this firmware, your Native Instruments account must contain a valid Maschine 3 license.
License Transfer:
If the previous owner did not include a Maschine 3 license transfer, the hardware will stay in a "Registration Failed" state. You will need to purchase or crossgrade to Maschine 3 in your account before the device can be successfully registered to your ID.
Check Firmware Version:
You can verify the current version on the hardware by navigating to Settings > General. If it shows 2.1.0, the Maschine 3 software is a mandatory requirement for operation.

Having transferred the Maschine+ to your account might have given you an earlier version of Maschine software as base software on your account but it is possible that it would not register properly to add the base software to your account because of the error experienced , which would then put into a not working loop. But for what it is worth then had you had the base software on account then you might have needed only the Maschine 3 update. I understand that for you time were of the essence today but if NI can somehow let you swap what you bought to an update only (if that could have done it) I can not say, you will have to politely take it up with NI Support to see what they say !
