Maschine 2 - Start up freezing on VESafeGuard

Hi All,

I new to Maschine and have recently purchased a Maschine Mk3. Everything has been fine until today, when starting the Maschine 2 App, during the Start up scan, it is freezing when it gets to VESafeGuard. I can't find this file anywhere on my PC and have no idea how to get past it.

Does any one know a solution or work-around?

I have done some searches and seen that people have had the issue in the past, however the solution pages seem to have been deleted.

Do you have something called CapCut video editor installed ? The VESafeGuard.dll appear to be installed by that .

How did you try to find ? , file might be a hidden file on your computer. Also then you should use Windows explorer to search for the VESafeGuard on your whole drive C:

Else try this :

When starting Maschine 2 then keep pressing ESCape on keyboard which should bypass plugin scan ,

then open Mashine 2 preferences

if it is on list of plugins then remove tick in VESafeGuard
