I recently set up a Github repo for Bitwig remote controls and considered briefly doing the same for NKS, but it isn't really feasible, especially if we want to include previews. A free Github account can't host more than 2GB of data and even an enterprise account is only 5GB - for comparison the NKS User Library dropbox folder is currently at 37GB and that just mainly hosts what I have shared, not everything shared by others in this forum. Even without previews NKS files are often much bigger than just standard text files - it seems to vary a lot depending on the plugin (unlike Bitwig remotes which are all 20kb).
That being said I am open to suggestions for a more sustainable alternative for hosting the User Library on Dropbox, at the moment I am paying for the hosting but that may not be possible indefinitely. The problem is all the free hosting sites I know of bombard people with dodgy popups etc and I would have concerns about security using such services.
