Welcome iZotope | Boris FX
VP
Sigh….
Welp, the rumors that spilled out a few weeks ago are all proving true.
Is this good or bad news for iZotope users?
Heck if I know….
So…. what happens with the iZotope products we see listed in Native Access?
Will they disappear from Native Access and go back to being listed/updated from the iZotope Product Portal?
I honestly didn't notice a major difference in iZotope during the NI years. No big shifts like resurrecting Iris or NKSing everything with 8-macro control interfaces. No change to developing compositional tools over mastering and restoration. So I can't really say this will be good or bad, NI was so neutral the change to another owner doesn't seem to carry a huge amount of significance.
Look like. Another migration…
Hmmm, right now if I try to login at izotope.com it's still popping up a Native Instruments window asking me to login with Native ID…

iZotope products remain fully accessible through current channels, including the downloads page, Product Portal, and Native Access. We will communicate any platform changes well in advance.
We’ll be working hard to make any future changes as smooth as possible so you can focus on creating, not logging in
If you haven't read the letter from iZotope's VP of Product, Todd Baker, you can find it here: https://www.izotope.com/community/blog/joining-boris-fx
I'm gonna lean into that this is a good thing for iZotope products.
Product development under NI has been pretty meager.
And the price to obtain these meager changes has been way out of proportion.
Glad I didn't update my Music Production Suite 8 yet.
Will wait to see how BorisFX handles everything.
Personally then I am not that fond of BorisFX and they are not that fond of me - else they would have given me some better offers on their software 😁
.
I predict brainworx/pa will also be spun off in some way and not continue with inmusic
After all that faff to get my iZotope apps to sync with Native Access!
Didn't they just buy Samplitude as well? Looks like they're trying to make a big push into audio as well as vfx.
Aug 20, 2025 : Boris FX Acquires Pro Audio Post-Production, Mastering, and Broadcast Tools The renowned VFX developer adds Sequoia, Samplitude, and Music Studio DAWs to its award-winning product family.
I'm guessing Brainworx and Plugin Alliance are sold back to Dirk Ulrich…
