Voucher Is Not A Gift

Picked up a Machine Mk3. Comes with a $35 voucher. The email describes this as a "gift".

Ok but when I go to use said gift, I can't cause sale.

So since it doesn't stack with sales, the voucher is actually a way to get people to spend more money. So it's actually a gift that NI gives to itself. So I should just give it back, since it's intent is for NI anyway. Where can I send this fake gift? Apparently you guys need it more than I do anyway, since you're unable to simply provide an actual $35 credit for your customers. For digital products that cost you zero dollars to deliver to the customer; which after they're made they are entirely financial windfalls for their entire lifespan.

Should I maybe send you some credits for the food bank, or.. ?

Yes , I felt like you when receiving my first €25 voucher and realizing that since it could not be used on items already discounted then most everything would be cheaper if bought on a sale with no voucher as well as that the only few things that one could actually get for the voucher without adding money would be an expansion.

So yes , I agree that the voucher is only meant to make you aware of the NI shops offers and train you in buying from the shop. But that is how it is and how it has been for years.

NI sometimes do give some better vouchers with selected deals , but the $25 / €25 / CA$35 (?) are not really worth much.

Ya, I wouldn't mind just a "pick a free sample pack". That would be fine.
The partner sale right now has like ten different kontakt instruments I could be happy with. But I have to wait for the sale to be over so that I can use the voucher on one of them full price and pay the difference. While the NI system sent me a reminder to use up my voucher. But it's NI's fault that I haven't yet.

Makes me sad when thinking does Machine exist just as a vending machine for sample pack micro transactions. And Image Line has set up their daw to be a storefront for their cloud service.

I'm complaining again. But I really want that pedal steel guitar or watch-sounds kontakt instrument. Have this voucher burning a hole in my pocket but can't use it. 😅

Vouchers are gifts. It’s all about when you use them.

Just because you get one today - does not mean “today” is the best time to use it.

Stash it and haul it out when you can take advantage of a situation. This is my process and it works great everytime
