I’m reaching out because I’ve been dealing with a major issue with Kontakt 8 and I’ve spent the last two days trying everything possible to fix it without success.I recently got a third-party plugin called Freq2 by Dezert Audio and tried loading it inside Kontakt 8. At first, it kept saying the samples were missing. I used the “Show in Folder” option and rescanned the samples, but after that the plugin would only load as a blank gray/black/white interface with no GUI or controls visible at all, making it completely unusable.Since then, I have tried absolutely everything I could think of to fix the issue, including:
- Reinstalling Kontakt 8
- Reloading folders and rescanning libraries/batch resave
- Watching YouTube tutorials
- Reinstalling the plugin
- Trying different file paths and sample locations
- Having technicians help troubleshoot the issue
Nothing worked .The only way I managed to get Freq2 to load at all was by downloading a Kontakt 8 Portable version. However, now that has created an even bigger problem because the portable version has completely taken over my system. Anytime I try to open the real Kontakt 8, the portable version launches instead.Because of this, I can no longer properly use my legitimate Kontakt libraries and plugins like Noire, Scarbee/Rickenbacker, and other Native Instruments instruments that I rely on for music production. At this point I’m extremely frustrated because I’ve lost multiple days trying to solve this and I still cannot use Freq2 correctly in the official Kontakt 8, nor can I properly access my genuine Kontakt setup anymore. I would really appreciate help with:
- Getting Freq2 to load correctly inside the official Kontakt 8 with the proper GUI/interface
- Restoring my system so the official Kontakt 8 opens normally again instead of the portable version taking over
- Understanding whether this issue is related to Kontakt configuration, library paths, registry settings, or compatibility
Thank you for your time. I’d really appreciate any assistance because I’ve exhausted every solution I could find on my own.
