Please give me a reason to update

Actually, I don’t really understand NI’s update philosophy. As a Komplete 25 Standard owner (and I’ve owned many previous versions too) the only thing I’d get is Absynth 6. But that’s only €99 on its own. So why spend €149 for the Komplete Standard update? Sure, there are a lot of expansions included, but come on. Am I missing something?

Thanks @Vocalpoint, that’s what I did. That’s why I was a little surprised to see just the Absynth 6 update and some preset stuff. But you’re right: whether it makes sense or not is up to me. ;-)

There is no Komplete 25 , previous one was Komplete 15 😉

I can honestly say that I would never spend €99 on a single product if I could get the same product and a heck of a lot more for €149 , but maybe that is just me….

Anyway I think that there is a lot of really nice products in the Komplete 26 line up and if there is anything in the bundle that appeals to you then it's not that much to spend to add the availability of the products to your library. But of course then you are right : if there is not much that appeals to you then yes then it's basically a waste of money to buy the bundle.

If you choose to buy individual products as they get released, then yes of course it could happen that when Komplete comes along, you already have (almost) everything.

I personally will try to restrict/resist separate purchases through the year, and wait for a bunch of new stuff in the next Komplete. I believe many here do the same.

Outside of my excitement for the return of Absynth - which was the only major item I snagged as a separate purchase - what was "new" to me in K26 - does not justify my "update" price. (K15 ULT→K26ULT)

So I will continue my usual "every second" cycle and wait until Komplete 28….

I was on the fence too, but I got the upgrade. I really like Claire and Odes. I wanted the new version of Kontakt (I go back to Kontakt 2) but it has not released yet and I'm sure I will get it for the upgrade fee. The way I look at it, Claire alone would cost me more than the upgrade, so it made sense to get it. And the Komplete upgrade plus the Kontakt upgrade in the future will be less than Claire and Odes.

Sorry , but you will only get what is listed as in the bundle tier on the compare page , the bundles do not get free software added after being published and sold. Meaning that if you are referring to getting e.g. Kontakt 9 added for free when that is published then sorry but that is not how things work.

P.S. On some sales we previously have seen that NI Komplete bundles were sold with third party software bundled , but that has nothing to do with what the bundles themselves consist of when sold.

Reaktor…or even a new version of Battery! Better yet if Battery 5 (or maybe Battery 26?) would be able to play ANY of the drum libraries from prior Komplete editions or any of the 3rd party drum libraries that might be available in NKS form.

Or revamp Kontakt so that it can do all the things Battery 4 could do…and THEN some, and then have a blowout Kontakt renaissance party for the next 56.5 years, lol!

Kind of like how Spectrasonics came out with Trilian (bass instruments), but made it so that Omnisphere would play all of those sounds so you wouldn't have to remember to instantiate a Trilian instance in your DAW; you could just use Omnisphere to conquer the whole world!

But good Lord, if Native Instruments came out with fresh versions of Reaktor and Battery, I think people would write folk songs about them…or maybe some rock anthems! 😉

I recently upgraded from Komplete 15 Standard to Komplete 26 Standard.
The product I wanted most was "Absynth 6". and "MARCO POLO DRUMS" and "24K Drums".
Absynth 6 includes presets by Brian Eno and Mark Mothersbaugh of Devo, both of whom I'm a huge fan of, so I'm glad I upgraded.
What's most pleasing is that I can still receive the same support without any changes.
I am truly grateful to the NI staff and InMusic staff for all their hard work.
And as a big fan of Reaktor, I'm delighted that their support will continue.
