I have Absynth 5 but Maschine 3.5 says Absynth could not be loaded...

Question

In the Native Access.app, only Absynth 5 shows up. In the Maschine 3.50 app, only Absynth (with no 5) shows up. When I try to select a sound in Maschine, I get: "Error: Absynth could not be loaded, as it may not yet support Apple Silicon or VST2 to VST3 migration. For more information please visit: ..[blank]".

Yet, Absynth 5 runs just fine in standalone. What is going wrong here? Has NI purposely sabotaged Absynth 5 to get me to buy Absynth 6 or what?

@monsterG Absynth 5 was discontinued way before the new Silicon chips were a thing. I assume ou have a Silicon based Mac? M1, M2, etc…? If this is the case to open Absynth 5 you will need to run Maschine 3 in Rosetta mode: https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/4417360007825-How-to-Open-Your-DAW-Using-Rosetta

Yes - Absynth 6 is a brand new VST3 based version of the tool and fully compliant with Apple Silicon.

And while BreakTweaker was discontinued 4 years ago - and it is considered a legacy product now - it still works and functions as just like it always has - as long as you have a supported (circa 2022) OS installed.

Thank you both for your prompt feedback. I'm wondering if I should drop the $400 for the upgrade to Komplete 26 Collector's Edition — I really like Absynth, and I know about Rosetta on Mac silicons. I've seen other rave reviews about BreakTweaker 2 (which was released not too long ago in 2022); if NI/iZ brought that back I'm sure it would still be a hit. Thanks again @Jeremy_NI and @Vocalpoint !
