Why is my Komplete 13 Ultimate update to Komplete Ultimate 26 £536 and not £269?

I own a registered fully functional version of Komplete 13 Ultimate and want to update to the newest ultimate version 26.

Why is my update treated as if it's an upgrade and at a higher price.

My understanding is coming from Komplete standard to a new version of Komplete Ultimate is an upgrade, but coming from Ultimate to a new version of Ultimate is an update. is this correct?

Why am I being charged £539 at checkout instead of the displayed update amount of £269?

There is a "recently revived" pricing model back in place now.

Basically - the longer you wait on the sidelines to upgrade/update - the more it costs.

You have waited across v14, v15 and now want to jump to v26 - that will cost you more than me jumping from v15.

This model replaces the one that was in place for about the last half dozen years or so - where it was "one price for all) dating back to Komplete 8 (or 9). That model is clearly no longer viable.

Your price is correct BTW:

This shows in CDN dollar for me - but that converts to what you are seeing in British Pound Sterling.

And I'm going to guess that NI's current financial struggles are the main reason for that model being no longer viable. And may be partly why K26 is being released sooner than the customary cadence.

I'm not blaming anybody for anything, just highlighting the possibilities behind all of this. I'll still do the upgrade in the next few days.
