I have a MIDI file with several instruments on many tracks, and when I import this file into a new group in the Maschine DAW, some tracks aren't copied over. Why is that? Thank you for your help.
Drag and drop the Midi file directly on the Group box in the Arrangement View, not the Pattern View. The Program assumes the content is a whole keyboard part when you drop it in the Pattern area. When you drop it on the Group box in the Arrangement area, it separates it by channel. It's an operational function that the Program needs to be able compute properly.
It also depends on how many Midi tracks are contained within the Midi file. If it's more than 16, Maschine will not be able to host them all, per channel requirement. You can open the midi file in a separate DAW and drag and drop where you want in Maschine. Most Midi files only contain between 4 and 8 at the most depending on the project, so you shouldn't be having an issue with Maschine not being able to host it.
Also, the Program should be able to allot (create) channels on a separate Group if it can't contain them in a single Group.
Thank you Maxray, for the first answer I already knew this operational function, but this is not the problem. And for the second, yes it's a 22 channels midi file (see screenshots - in MidiAnalyzer) :
But the 16 first imported tracks do not rely correctly (see screenshot2 - in Maschine) :
and that's the question why…
