Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing a serious and recurring issue while performing and practicing with Traktor Pro.
During DJ sets, the software completely freezes:
Audio suddenly stops completely
Waveforms freeze and stop moving
The entire user interface becomes unresponsive
However, the track still appears to be running on the jog wheel display, as if playback is continuing internally
This results in a full software freeze during live performance and forces me to restart the application or sometimes the entire computer. The last time it happened, 3 minutes after turning on the computer, the controller and the program.
Setup:
OS: Windows 11
Processor: AMD A9-9425 with Radeon R5 Graphics
Controller: Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3
Software version: Traktor Pro 4.4.2
Audio setttings (audio setup):
I am currently using:
Audio device: TRAKTOR KONTROL S4 MK3 (ASIO)
Sample Rate 44100 Hz
Buffer size of 512 samples. (latency: processing 11.6ms + Output 6.7ms)
I have also tested different buffer / latency settings (higher and lower), but the issue still occurs regardless of the configuration.
Additional information:
I have also experienced the same issue on Traktor Pro 4.2.0, so the problem seems to persist across versions.
System performance: during use, the system still available RAM and is not running at full capacity. I did not notice any obvious memory overload at the time of the freeze.
Changing USB ports
Closing background applications
Updating drivers and software
Adjusting buffer/latency settings (including 512 samples and other values)
Despite all of this, the issue still persists.
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what could be causing a full system freeze like this?
