Is there a different way to load samples in Circular? Seems impossible in Mac + Ableton

I'm trying to load samples in Circular which I am using as an Ableton plugin.

The way to load samples as stated in the manual is to drag and drop them to a certain area in Circular.

The problem is that this is impossible when running as an Ableton plugin. As soon as I bring the Finder window up front, the plugin disappears.

Is there an alternate way to load samples? The only way I know around this right now is to open it standalone in Kontakt, load them and then save the preset, but that's a terrible workflow.

Hello,

im not a live user but there is a audio file browser in live, have you tried that? Or you minimize the live window and drag the kontakt window next to it, might work but im also not sure about that.

Your total lack of screenshots makes it impossible for me to know exactly what you are trying to do , also I have no Mac so not sure how much screenshots would help me personally.

That said then I have tried on PC, using Ableton Live and Circular opened in Kontakt 8 as well as tested with Komplete Kontrol 3.5.3 .

All works as should with respect to drag and drop of samples.   Both from sample collection from samples added within the Ableton Live collections as well as using the Cosmos sample finder from Waves Audio.   (I guess that adding the sample libraries to Ableton Live's interface using the Add Folder below the User Library in the interface as I have done with the 'Rock' , shown left-most on the picture, could count as an 'alternative' way of adding samples)

I have added screenshots of both below here.  I have dragged and dropped from where shown on screenshot to the name-area marked with the little read box around.

Sorry , I can not test using a Mac since I have none.  But make sure that your samples are of valid format and that you drag to the right place like shown.

@Jeremy_NI , do you have any Mac insight to share ?
