License Duplicates

A friend of mine accidentally bought two licences of guitar rig and he wanted to transfer one to my account. The thing is, when he went to the transfer license section, only one showed up for transfer, not two. Should he be able to see the two? or is the one he's already using not showing up by default? Also he says he might have requested a return but he doesn't remember if he actually went through with it, is there a way to check if he did return it?

I he has two licenses then he should be able to see them at his account product page as either registered or as a not registered product. If the product has not been registered (which it might not as a dupe) then the serial will not show on the list of products for transfer , not even after the cool down period (there is a 60 days cool down I think after purchase where one can not transfer the product oneself but would have to ask NI Support to do the transfer.

Anyway , since your friend is in doubt about even if he still have the product then he really ought to ask N.I. Support (all) to help check and clear up the situation. When/if contacting support then please notice that NI sends AI auto-responses and that it is necessary to answer to the auto-response to let NI know that you/he still needs help…

Your friend should check his account order history. -i imagine that any returns would be mentioned.
