Spam Email - data leak?

I just had a random email saying, "Welcome to Native Instruments" blah blah blah

Looks legit, certificate looks good, no odd websites on the email receipts.

I did nothing and randomly received this. Is NI getting hacked? I immediately changed my password, but what is this? I've been with NI for over 12 years and never had any random emails stating "Welcome."

Anybody else receive this?

Same here. I’ve had my NI account since 2013, so this email is definitely unexpected and a bit concerning. Can someone from NI please clarify what’s going on?

I logged in to say exactly the same thing. My OG password worked so I assume just some irresponsible error on NI's behalf.

If all the links in the e-mail links to the NI website (usually hover over link with mouse to see link somewhere in your email reading interface) then most likely NI has done some thing to their server that has caused this as a mishap.

You only need to really worry if any of the links leads to other external sites , and especially you should worry if it says something like you must log-in to update your information or password or give your credit card information because NI just sent you the gift you always thought that you deserved because you just answered their recent survey and you just need to pay a $ 5 processing fee to shipping company to unstuck your parcel (or whatever phishing method used.)

In any case then generally then if you have any doubts about the origin or validity of whatever email that you receive then do not click anything or any links.

Tried changing password for security, kept saying "something went wrong."
Didn't click through the link in the e-mail.

Hey all, I’ve confirmed with our team that this isn't a bug or a phishing attempt. We're currently in the process of updating our webshop, and the new system requires a verified email for secure sign-ins. We sent these out to anyone who hasn't verified their account in a while just to make sure you don't lose access.
