I've been getting emails about this. It's selling now for $89 vs a "retail price" of $665.
Is this going to be the standard price on the NI store, or is it a limited-time offer? If the latter, how long is the offer available.
Thanks!
Reid
Hey all, this is a limited time offer indeed. It ends on June 30th.
This both says Sale and is tagged NI Store Exclusive so one would think that it's an offer that is not going to last.
This being a NI Store Exclusive (at least at the moment) makes it even harder to predict what the future will bring but as for now I think that you should consider a passing offer. I think that I saw an offer from Steinberg on some other stuff for Cubase a while back which I believe were also from Image Sounds and that offer was a passing one as well…
Anyway , only NI and Image Sounds can tell you what the future will bring and they are obviously not going to inform any of us of their future plans.
.
I took a look at this, and on further investigation…
On the Image Sounds site there's a Pro Percussion bundle (non Leap) with a normal price of £299.
It's 29GB and contains 17,000 loops and 78 one-shots for £119.60
The Leap one in comparison is 9.75GB with 4,380 loops for £77.35
To Leap or not to Leap, that is the question 🤔
I appreciate knowing how much time I have to think about this offer.
I never buy loops, as it's not the way I make music. And they can easily trigger ContentID. But putting loops into something like Leap (or UVI's Mosaiq, Output's Arcade, etc.) makes them into virtual instruments. Used that way, then loops are only source material, like on any virtual instrument, and can easily be changed into something new.
This is an interesting offer for a percussion-lover like myself, but I don't know how well the loops sync with the DAW's BPM. I wouldn't be interested in this if I was stuck with set BPMs. Anybody know more about how Leap works?

Did you check the Kontakt 8 manual page 36 and forward ?
Also there is a short intro video : How to use Leap in Kontakt | Native Instruments And How to use everything in Kontakt 8 | Native Instruments .
Other : Creative Sampling with Kontakt Leap , only one download so far but it is still there : Leap User Library: Discover and share custom kits for Kontakt.
