Where is Humanize and Random in software?

I am still using Maschine 2 because I'm still on intel Monterey for the time being.

The manual makes reference to Variations of humanize and random, but I can't find any way to configure that using the software.  (I do not have any maschine hardware).

Is this feature only available when using maschine hardware or is there a way to enable it?  The manual mentions it briefly but doesn't say how to do it, videos I have found only are all using maschine hardware to easily enable it.

Please advise.

Live slicing makes sense.  I don't do that anyway.  This is a feature that is specifically related to the hardware..and I'm sure there are numerous things like that…  it obviously doesn't make sense to have that feature in the software unless a controller is being used.  Though I would think the software ought to be able to use the sound card on the computer to basically do the same thing…if they wanted to do so…so kind of lame really…but I don't use that feature anyway.

Lock states really only makes sense to use with a controller…so obviously its not in the software.  There are probably many things that make sense for only in the controller that you would obviously have nothing in the software, and preferably so to avoid confusion.

Humanze and random, however, are distinct features of the pattern sequencer in the software and entirely useful without a controller, and I see no reason why the controller should be required for it.  Seems like just an oversight by NI devs on the software side to me.

Anything else?  that isn't directly related to the controller itself?

I'm pretty sure anything with lock states need the hardware.  Live slicing can't be done without the hardware (though it would be weird without the hardware).

This is the only feature I have not been able to use, everything else works perfectly fine without the controller…  So its strange to me that this was left out of the software GUI.

Perhaps you can elaborate on specific features in the software that you think I am unable to use without a controller?  I don't really want to use a controller.  Maschine2 could always work without a controller just fine, other then this feature is the first thing I have found not working.
