The .tsi is actually already in Traktor 4, if go to add in then choose pioneer and DDJ-t1 iy loads it. as for the control descptyions, where would I find that? THe user manual I presume. Let me see what I find on that. TY by the weasy

In the TSI there are commands that are assigned to Needle.Function.(1to 5) and Needle.Search hardware controls. One of the is PLAY (toggle) the last one is SEEK (i presume some sort of jog wheel interaction?). Also, there is no mapped CUE command. Fader start is nowhere to be found. This looks like some hardcoded signaling.
I am clueless how to address your start/stop with fader wishes.
I was able to use the Play Pause feature in the midi mapping controller settings. I made a seperate generic midi map added 2 commands to the X fader for play pause one deck A other Deck B and one a 1 value other a zero and map the fader to start play, works pretty good. Only thing I miss is bigger and more hot cues, granted I can program 8 but not as easily accessible as the S3
