Lock States using Maschine MFX VST with Logic midi triggers

Question

I've got Serum as a logic pro instrument and Maschine MFX as a audio FX on the same channel. Im able to use effects and create lock states in Maschine MFX but cant get them to work as a midi trigger on the logic channel.

I have this working if I use the Maschine Multi output.

use the "midi change" in the edit menu

set the channel and note

the first lock state begins with the lowest note on a keyboard
