How to edit Modulation amount in Step view for Audio device

I'm trying to modulate a parameter on a Sound with an Audio device in Step view on the Maschine controller. However, when I hold down the step for the Audio in Step view it makes the Audio step delete when I remove my finger. This is a very different behavior from all other devices with like Sampler device or any other one.

When the audio Module is in Gate mode, pressing an event (lit pad) in step mode deactivates the audio Module. What happens when you use Loop mode?

Thanks for the tip. I was actually using Loop mode to where it doesn't allow me to enter a modulation on a per step basis.

I switched it to Gate mode and it actually works that way. I guess it's either a bug or an oversight for it not to work in Loop mode? Unless there is some other way we're not seeing.
