Possible to map rotation data? (Phase, active platter etc.)

If someone would make a cheap DIY "phase" kinda unit that sends rotation data back to the computer, as in you get data on how fast the platter is spinning. Would that be possible to map in Traktor?

With something like two ESP32-S3, gyro and battery, it should be possible to build something similar to phase yourself.

The problem is Traktor doesn’t allow “Vinyl vector data” into control itself, only by Timecode. S4mk3 maybe made Traktor team develop “a way” but it’s not exposed for mapping afaik.

The easiest way is to transform that “vector data” into timecode directly… so like Phase (or Denon’s hybrid mode). If Traktor ends supporting Phase natively then it could be possible (but still not trivial) and hardly enough ”cheap” (or easy to mantain) to just buy Phase itself…

Also with the actual situation I’m not sure if it will worth the effort when you can do the same for other platforms.

Take a look at this. It’s focused over iPad but the idea behind is enough close so you can understand its difficulty (even more with that vector data over the Traktor playhead isn’t exposed)
