Maschine Has No Sound During the Sampling Process

I have an issue with Maschine MK3 and also the SW Maschine 3 because I cannot have/receive sound to be able to do the Sampling.

In the Maschine 3 software, the signal path is set to

turntable → preamp → Maschine MK3,

but in this configuration I’m not capturing any sound to be recorded.

I also tried connecting a microphone directly to the Mic In input, with no results.

Can you tell me which steps should I take to solve this issue?

Do you have sound in general?

If you Browser → Load & Restart an excisted project does it play sound?

Showing the Driver' s drop down menu as well in the Audio Section of Preferences makes the video more usefull in cases like that.

If I were you, I would experiment with different drivers as well.

it’s because you have the source set to internal, input to master ( internal is for resampling maschine -master/group/sound

Set source to external and input to the relevant input , ie L or R , if you are not seeing the inputs , goto settings/audio - and check the input are active

in the other thread you started Jeremy posted a link did that not help ?

First go to maschine settings / audio and check that the inputs are assigned , you should see 2 tabs input / output , maschine can have 16 inputs , by default L&R should be assigned to 1+2

Then basically, go back to the sample rec screen ,in that image , under start / cancel, you can see source and input , set the source to ext and set the input to 1+2

Check your gain knob at the back , there’s a monitor on/ off setting , if you activate that you should be able to hear before rec

I don’t normally sample ext sources apart from when using loopback ( YouTube etc ) , but it’s basically the same , apart from setting gain etc and whatever other issue you get from rec turntables
