In Traktor Pro 4 (4.41.22), the bit rate for mix recordings varies between 1411kps for some and 3072kps for others. I don't think I've changed any settings; can anyone offer an explanation?
Maybe it switches to NVIDIA when you don't have the s4 connected? Otherwise I assume it should always say s4.
And 44.1 kHz is good enough for most use cases.
I disable all those devices in device manager, makes things a lot easier, it can also happen after driver updates there windows switches to some HDMI/DP sound output.
Thanks for your comments. I think I understand it slightly better now!
Hello,
1411 kBits/sex is CD quality, so 16 bits/44100 kHz, 3072 is 16 bit/96 kHz. So have you set your audio interface maybe different for different mixes? At least that's what influences recordings if I set it to 44,1 or 96 kHz resolution for the interface.
I noted that the Audio Device setting has changed from Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3 to NVIDIA. I can't remember ever doing this but it seems to have clarified the reason for the change in the recorder mix bit rate. Many thanks for your help. What is the difference between NVIDIA and the standard S4 MK3 setting?
