I'm having issues with installing Kontakt 8 Player on Native Access.

I've been putting off using Native Access and Native Instruments for a long time as they didn't want to cooperate with my D: Drive, and now I'm trying again years later and find that it still doesn't want to download anything. I can't seem to install Native Access to anything other than default as it instantly goes to installing the program when first using the setup. I don't like using my system drive as I lack enough space on it to feasibly keep it to that directory so I use my external drive and put everything into my own custom folders. This doesn't seem to help though as for some reason it constantly tells me that the installation failed without any sort of explanation other than it "failed". This obviously is extremely vague and doesn't help me at all, so I'm honestly at a pretty huge loss for any way to fix this.

We need much more exact information.

What is your exact version of OS ?

Screenshot of any error (?)

Are you sure that you have full ownership of the drive used ?

Are you sure that N.A. has been installed correctly ?

What is your exact version of NA used ?

What is your NTKDaemon Process file version ?

Is the NTKDaemon Service running ?

Next thing to address (after confirming Poorfellows questions) are your locations.

On any Windows machine - if you want real success - I strongly recommend these locations (from my Windows 10 DAW):

1 - This is my "standard" (Windows) "Downloads" folder (highly recommended)

2 - This one is non-negotiable. As much as I understand you want to push some boundaries here - software goes to C. Let NA determine this path and never change it. Ever. Trust me :)

3 - Can be wherever you want your "content" to go. My main Library drive is L:\ as noted and I created a folder called Libraries in the root.

Power Tip: Be sure to actually include that "Native Instruments" subfolder in your Content Location path. It will keep things ultra tidy and save you headaches down the road.

This pathing is rock solid and has been for years.

Yeah , sorry , I overlooked the App location. VocalPoint is absolutely right Application location should be left at what is the default location : C:\Program Files\Native Instruments

You need enough temporary space to both download , unpack and install….

Well then maybe you could answer our initial questions / check of things ? (included of the requested screenshot (s) of the problem(s) (e.g. : it just loads infinitely and eats up my space until it eventually stops and just loads forever.)

I think it would be better to post a screencap of your C drive and show us what is there for space.

If you do not have 50% of C free - I can tell you this may be difficult to solve.
