Is it stolen? serial check

Question

Hi, local fellow selling the Traktor Kontroler s4 mk2 for 100.00 cdn. No power cable etc, How can i confirm from serial number that it is not stolen? Im hoping this unit will solve my issue from getting sound from my stereo receiver to my laptop to stream with the mk2 in the middle.

If you know the serial number, contact NI Support and they can check it for you.

If you don't know the serial number, you have to: either ask the guy for it, either trust the guy.

I doubt that people who have gear stolen bother to report it to the company that made the HW, half the stuff on pawn shops for example are stolen.

NI software doesen't check for the HW serial when you connect it, as long as you own a Traktor license that supports that HW you should be OK (if we ignore the morality of the situation). But confirm it with tech support before spending $$$, dont take any chances.
