How can I map the hot cues to instantly play the track as I press them?

Hello, I recently bought a Traktor Kontrol S3 with Traktor Pro 4.

I noticed that if I set and push a hot cue point but the deck is not playing, the hot cue works like the cue, so the track doesn't start to play from that point.

If the deck is playing and i push a hot cue point, the track starts to play from that point.

If the deck is playing and i push the hot cue point the track goes to that point just if I hold the hot cue down and when I release the button the track start to play from a further point.

I'm not very good in mapping and I want that the track instantly play when i push the hot cue also if the deck is not playing so I don't have to hold the hot cues down. I hope you can help me guys

(1) Make sure that FLUX is OFF. This is the only thing that comes to my mind that explains this behaviour.

… and I want that the track instantly play when i push the hot cue also if the deck is not playing so I don't have to hold the hot cues down.

(2) Just like with the CUE button, hold down the hotcue then press PLAY, then release both buttons. Voila. It's not complicated and you can (and should) train this to become muscle memory.

Any overmapping you could do (there is a way) is convoluted to make sure it respects the PadMode your deck is in. If this is what you really need, you have to construct a modifier skeleton for each side of the controller to recognize (with modifier values) which deck and which padmode the controller is currently in, then add an assignment to each performance button to set PLAY state to ON when pressed and the modifier condition is met.

Edit: Or you could modify the qml code of the hotcue trigger commands to also set PLAY state of the deck to ON, which would be quite easy if you know your way around the code.
