3 different accounts for 1 purchase... why? And why doesn't it simply work?

I double click on Kontakt on my Desktop, then One Kit Wonder - Metal, and I get a blank screen… nothing works. And that's after having to set up an account with another company (Crate or w/e) in order to purchase a product from Get Good Drums, so that I can create an account with Native Instruments to download Kontrakt 8 to run software I've already purchased!

That's a whole lot of work to essentially set up "One Kit Wonder" (false advertising at this point) through my actual DAW, Ableton Live.

I don't like Native Instruments, Kontakt isn't working, and now I have a paid program I can't seem to use.

Whatever happened to clicking on a program and it simply working? Why isn't there an .adg application or compatible export conversion for paid kits to work in standardized DAW's? Why all the runaround? Whatever creative streak I was on gets CRUSHED by this sort of technical snafu.

what are the exact specs of your computer especially the graphics card, have you installed latest drivers and all that, can you use other stuff with kontakt, you normally should get free stuff with kontakt playeryou can claim free stuf here to test kontakt:

And ggd use kontakt as an environment cause it´s the industry standard and i guess it also saves them time and money, so they don´t have to create their own sampler and can concentrate on making drum libraries - last thing is just a guess of course.

Your One Kit Wonder - Metal product page clearly says that it needs Kontakt 8 Player to work. Anyway the product was not bought at NI so why do you you complain in the NI forum over that ?

Did you actually watch and follow the installation and use video linked to on the One Kit Wonder - Metal product page ?

I don't understand this complaint , you do not have to purchase anything to be able to create an account at Native Instruments. And NI gives you the Kontakt 8 Player for free as part of the totally free Komplete Start (as already written by Uwe)

As far as I know then Kontakt 8 Player works with all major DAWs and probably some not major.

Even if you do not like NI and even if you have not bought anything from NI then NI will help you get your Kontatkt 8 Player to work. We in the forum would also like to try to assist but we can not help you based on a general vague complaint that contains little usable information.

First and foremost we need a more specific description of how and what you installed and a more specific description with screenshot(s) of what you are doing and of any error (if any)…

Also we would need exact software information such as exact version of OS , version of Native Access , version of Kontakt 8.

We are not NI but with respect to getting the Kontakt 8 Player to work then you can also contact N.I. Support (all) .

Way to skirt the general question "why click and play doesn't work anymore".
The complaint didn't have anything to do with purchasing anything, but in having to create multiple accounts (because I don't expect you to understand data mining) in order to have function something called "One Kit Wonder". You have to deal with multiple programs to get one to work… something I certainly don't have to deal with for VST's regarding sound production, but go on being glib about my issues "poorfellow".
Yes, all of my drivers are up to date. Yes, I watched the stupid video and imput all relevant data to get the Kit to show up in Kontakt. Would've been easy enough to ask follow up questions intelligently, but I understand your petty need to indulge in your 90's edgelord persona. Included is a picture that shows nothing working, though it seemed to work just fine when I first downloaded it.

If there was anything else you needed to know, I could easily dig up the information for you, but don't come at me like I don't have a right to be upset that a paid for program isn't working properly, or isn't overly complicated in that I have to do research in order to get it to work right. You buy something, it should generally work, you shouldn't have to go through 4 different groups to get the one program to run; unpopular opinion in these forums, I know. Forget your subjectivity, and maybe try to stay objective in your future attempts at "answering questions".

Where are you at the moment with Kontakt? Do you have Kontakt Player installed and working with included NI products like the piano? If so, is it just the GGD product that you get a blank screen with?

Yes, the piano part works just fine, just GGD product isn't working. Plub, I'm trying to get it to work with Ableton Live, so I'm not entirely sure why I can't just add the kit I purchased into the DAW to get it to populate the kit there.

The GGD product is a library designed to be used with the Kontakt sampler rather than being a standalone product which is why you can't just load it into Ableton.

Running Kontakt Player standalone for now to eliminate possible problems with Ableton, if you still get a blank screen loading GGD it's possible it's a graphics problem. Are you on a laptop or desktop machine? If it's laptop what's the model number? If it's a desktop, are you using a dedicated graphics card or motherboard graphics?

You keep missing one of the main points here , you did not buy a NI product but a product that require a NI product. If you have any issue with your product then you should contact place of purchase. So if you have anything that you need to 'unload' in connection with your product purchase then you are unloading at the wrong place , and you should reconsider your style anyway. We are not here to deal with complaint for third party products , we are here to try to assist with getting the Kontakt 8 Player to work.

Also then if you are not happy with the help that we try to give in the forum then you also have the option of asking N.I. Support(all) which sounds as if perhaps you would prefer (?)

Your screenshot does not sufficiently show the Kontakt 8 interface and it appears as if something is missing. Could we please get a screenshot showing the whole Kontakt 8 interface ? (This could be as simple as that you need to scroll the interface on the right side !)

Did you run Kontakt 8 as a standalone and setup before use in the DAW as required ?

Also what is your Kontakt 8 Player zoom setting ?

A sample library for Kontakt needs Kontakt to work, it’s like with any other proprietary sample pack, they need their respective sampler plugin to be installed and configured properly. Don’t expect everything to be compatible with the sampler engine in your DAW of choice.

I checked on GGD website, it says on every product page that the Kontakt Player is required and that the activation needs to be done via Native Access.

So not sure what you’re getting at, the library will not work in Ableton Live directly. Have you even read what are the requirements before you bought the library?
