I’m new to Traktor and NI hardware. Recently bought an S4 mk2. While I was waiting for my S4 to ship I spent some time mapping my Akai MidiMix for use with stems and remix decks.
I mapped a knob to the filter adjustment on each slot, and a button to the filter on/off on each slot. I can turn the button off and adjust the filter without actually hearing it until the button is turned back on. This is how I want it to work and it worked great. Then my S4 showed up. As soon as I plug in the S4, turning a mapped filter knob on the MidiMix activates the filter button as well, and it stays on until I turn the button off again. I can’t adjust a filter in silence anymore. As soon as I unplug the S4 and just use the MidiMix it goes back to the way it was before.
Is this a bug, or a setting I’m missing, or by design that the S4 goes “screw you, all your filters now work the way the channel filters do”?
