Does Maschine 3.0 software require a certain graphics setting?

The reason I asked is because ever since I downloaded 3.0, I've had what seems to be graphics related problems. I ignored it earlier but it seems to be getting worse.

Out of nowhere, the screen will lock up and I can't select a vst to bypass or delete . Another example would be that I won't be able to select a group or sound slot on the screen/software and the letters or the names of the groups would disappear. When this happens, I can do all steps on the hardware and the music will continue but eventually the screen will just get worse and worse until nothing will work on the screen only.

At the same time, I will be able to work on other things on the computer without any problems. I've done all of the required troubleshooting steps for maschine 3 and nothing has worked.

I will also add that this doesn't happen with Maschine 2.

Im working with a 12th gen i9-12900k 64gb ram, Intel arc A770 Graphics card . 2 acer monitors (sa24Y) no 4k or HDR also variable refresh rate is not supported on my monitors, if that matters.

According to the specs Maschine 3 requires "Graphics hardware support for Direct 3D 11.1 (Feature Level 11_0) or higher on Windows-based systems" which the A770 should handle as long as the graphics drivers are up to date.

Are you running Maschine standalone or inside a DAW when the problems happen?

I use it standalone. I've been working on this all night, testing all kinds of things and your information turned on a light bulb. If the A770 should be able to handle it, then maybe Maschine 3 isn't using the A770. I also have an integrated gpu card, maybe windows is forcing it to use the integrated card. So I changed the windows setting for Maschine 3 to use the A770 only instead of letting Windows choose.

Hopefully that will work.

maybe switching resolution to fullhd can solve your problem

mentioned here that maschine 3 gui will only work with this resolution without errors

Already mentioned in the first post - no 4K.

Using the current standard computer screen resolution is not ridiculous. It doesn't needing fixing because it's not broken.

Your description sounds like a bug or driver conflict, not full-on incompatibility.

I would run some simple tests:

1 - Remove one monitor, in case dual-monitors is part of the issue, if it does nothing, proceed with more tests:

Temporarily remove the A770 (physically from the PC) and use the onboard graphics, see if that works.
If not, while still just using integrated graphics also fully remove all A770 related drivers, see if that works.

If those steps fix it, then you know it's a GPU-related conflict, which isn't that uncommon, then you can move to try, for example, different driver versions and/or report the issue with more technical detail.

hm , when i have to switch everytime i start maschine 3 software my screen resolution (native qhd) to fullhd to avoid gui errors that sucks like hell. like miracle with maschine 2 software , there are no issues.

seems kinda broken to me…
