Trouble mapping MX2 and Learn feature not working

I just got an MX2 after using only an old Z1 and I'm totally stuck on how to remap. I've watched a bunch of videos on remapping other NI hardware, but I'm not understanding something with the MX2. This is where I'm running into trouble:

1. In the Controller Manager, I can't find any of the default MX2 mappings, so I can't tell what the various Channel numbers are for each button/knob/etc. (Not sure if Ch. does in fact stand for Channel…)
2. If I try to add a new device so I can make a custom mapping, the MX2 doesn't appear as an option under New → Traktor Control (see image).
3. If I instead add a Generic MIDI device, I have to remap all of the default MX2 mappings that I want to keep, right?
4. No matter what I try (even when adding Generic MIDI), the Learn function doesn't work when I try to assign a new mapping. My goal is to map the very top knobs on each deck to stem volume, instead of FX and Pattern Player. Learn doesn't work with any of the buttons/knobs on the MX2.

What am I doing wrong?

Overmapping has not yet been enabled for the MX2, as is usual for NI's new devices. My guess is it's easier to fix newly introduced bugs before enabling another feature that may cause more. Just wait for the next (or next to next) update. It'll come. There was only a single device (Kontrol S5) that ever got no (over-)mapping capability.
