Maschine Mk3 - Changing templates without having to open the Controller Editor.

When you press the Channel key with SHIFT, it gets you from the native Maschine mode to the Midi controller mode, and each time it goes into Midi mode it seems to go back to to whatever profile was previously selected. I have five profiles in my maschine's midi profile list. But which profile is active is only really obvious if you have opened Controller Editor up and are familiar with what the profiles look like. For some reason only the default profile lets me use the maschine itself to change profiles. The other profiles seem to have been designed without a way to get to a different profile. This seems confusing to me, and I wonder if I can fix these profiles. Or if there is some way in maschine to get back to the FIRST profile, profile 1, without opening the Controller Editor to get the first profile selected.

What I would like is a key press combination to get midi mode back onto the first profile.

Or to get the screen on the maschine to let me navigate back to a different profile, like I can from the first profile, where pressing shift plus the right and left arrow buttons below the browser button, will do.

I think I see the problem. Any template that does not have the Knob Pages or Pad Pages enabled, can have the left/right arrow mapped as a CC, and there's no way to map those buttons back to become the next/previous template buttons once that's mapped.

A possible workaround seems to be to adapt ALL your templates to make sure the Knob Pages are enabled, and this will unmap the midi-CC or other custom function from the left/right arrow button.

If the Controller editor just had a right click "Return to Default Use", OR if the maschine hardware always let you use the shift plus arrow keys as arrow keys, even if the unshifted arrow keys have a definition in the controller editor, this annoying pitfall could be solved. Anybody at NI interested in quality of life fix for Maschine!? :-)

If only a clear/return-to-defaults button existed on the Assign tab, so you could clear an unwanted mapping (like the CC110 and CC111 mapping that destroys the left/right arrow's ability to work with shift key to change templates), you could return any button to default use. Just as shift cannot be assigned to a midi cc, and shoudn't be turned off, neither should left and right arrows.
