System: * macOS Tahoe 26.1 * Apple Silicon Mac * Native Access (latest) * External drive: Satechi SSD PRO – 4TB (APFS) Important detail: * Previews installed perfectly on my previous external 2TB drive * After moving to a new 4TB external drive (APFS), Previews will no longer install * All other NI libraries install and run fine on the new drive Details: * /Volumes/Satechi SSD PRO/Native Instruments * No usable Previews folder is created on the new drive * Only Previews fails What I’ve tried: * Reinstalled Native Access multiple times * Verified Native Access is in /Applications * External drive is APFS (not ExFAT) * Full Disk Access enabled for Native Access, NTKDaemon, NIHardwareAgent, NIHostIntegrationAgent * Native Access background services are present and allowed * Cleared caches, removed partial installs, rebooted between attempts Despite all this, Previews remains the only product that won’t install. Previews won’t install – Native Access (macOS Tahoe 26.1)

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue where Previews will not install via Native Access, even though all other NI libraries install and work perfectly.

System:

macOS Tahoe 26.1
Apple Silicon Mac
Native Access (latest)
External drive: Satechi SSD PRO – 4TB (APFS)

Important detail:

Previews installed perfectly on my previous external 2TB drive
After moving to a new 4TB external drive (APFS), Previews will no longer install
All other NI libraries install and run fine on the new drive

Details:

/Volumes/Satechi SSD PRO/Native Instruments
No usable Previews folder is created on the new drive
Only Previews fails

What I’ve tried:

Reinstalled Native Access multiple times
Verified Native Access is in /Applications
External drive is APFS (not ExFAT)
Full Disk Access enabled for Native Access, NTKDaemon, NIHardwareAgent, NIHostIntegrationAgent
Native Access background services are present and allowed

You mentioned moving Previews from your old 2TB SSD to a new 4TB SSD external storage…

I assume your original Previews folder is named as "NBPL", so after moving this "NBPL" folder to the new location, rename the "NBPL" folder to "Previews", and use Native Access to repair the library by pointing it to the right location.
