Is there a way to fix superslow downloads on Native Access? MacOS 14

I know it has been mentioned before, but since there's no solution I thought I'd post my bad experience with download speeds on Native Access. I'm quite sure Native Instruments is the issue, as my Arturia and Spitfire updates succeeded at about 800Mbit/s.

Positive as I am, I'm here to find a solution instead of only complaining :D Anyone? Appreciated!

What product(s) are you trying to download? Are you downloading individually or do you have loads of stuff in a queue?

Sounds like you have a full fibre connection Where are you? For me here in the UK downloads from NI take literally seconds.

If you check forum posts concerning slow downloads, you'll find using a VPN is often the solution, as it changes the route.

Here in Canada - it is like seconds as well - on a 1.5GB connection.

The download process used by NI is probably where your problems originate. Different companies use different processes, but some are more efficient than others. The process is typically: download the compressed files, unpack then install/configure. The problem here being that ALL elements must first be downloaded before even beginning the unpacking and creation of the final configuration on the storage device. That's why you'll often notice differences between NI original libraries and those from other vendors as they all vary with how they divide up the downloads pieces.

Spitfire is a bit unique in this regard because they have NKS compatible libraries and their own proprietary hosting with the Spitfire Audio non NKS compatible libraries which download and install much faster using various licensed products from other vendors that do the hard work. This results in download/installs that are much faster but also load quicker in your DAW.
