It's a false positive. The AV is trying to be clever and making an assessment of the program based on typical behaviour of viruses.

Pretty sure if ANY NI download was laced with virus payloads - we would all know about it.
Gentle suggestion to consider simply using Win Defender and lose the extras.
You really do not need anything else here in late 2025.

If you have such a problem then first check your own computer for virus and malware to be sure that you have neither. Then upload the file to virustotal.com to check if the file scores as having virus there.
Then if you think it a false positive then either contact f-secure and tell them and/or contact N.I.Support (all) and have them fix the false positiveā¦.
I use a f-secure based AV solution myself and agree that we have seen a false positive with NI files a few timesā¦
