[ENQUIRY] Critical Host Integration Conflict: Komplete Kontrol A49 VST Panel Pop-up in Cubase 13/12

Hello, I’m Steve Austin From korea who is a user of Komplete Kontrol A49.

I am experiencing a persistent and severe host integration conflict with my Komplete Kontrol A49 keyboard and Cubase Pro 13/12 that cannot be resolved through standard troubleshooting or full reinstallation.

This issue has persisted even after upgrading my software to Komplete 15 Standard.

1. The Core Problem (The Symptom)

When an Instrument Track is selected in Cubase, pressing any key on the Komplete Kontrol A49 (or turning a knob) immediately causes the VST instrument panel/window to forcibly pop up or seize the focus.

This indicates that the DAW Control Port signal is being misinterpreted by Cubase as a generic MIDI Note Input and/or a "Show VST Panel" command.

2. Comprehensive Diagnostics Conducted (All Failed)

This issue is systemic, meaning it is not isolated to a single machine. I have performed the following extensive steps:

Step	Status	Conclusion
Tested on Dual PCs (Desktop & Laptop)	Failed on both.	Confirms the issue is a deep software/script conflict, not local hardware/OS failure.
Cubase Full Reinstallation	Failed.	Cubase Pro (latest version) was fully reinstalled after deleting preference files.
NI Software/Driver Clean Reinstallation	Failed.	All NI applications and A-Series drivers were fully uninstalled, removed via Device Manager, and cleanly reinstalled via Native Access.
MIDI Port Filtering	Failed.	Confirmed that the DAW Control Port had its "In All MIDI" checkbox UNCHECKED in Cubase Studio Setup.
External Conflict Check	Removed.	Bome MIDI Translator (which was masking the DAW port) was fully uninstalled. The issue persisted after Bome's removal.

3. Request for Specialized Assistance

Since the problem re-emerges immediately after a clean installation on a fresh Cubase environment, I strongly suspect a corrupted or outdated Host Integration Script/Template File (XML/Lua) within the NI installation structure is overriding the correct Cubase MIDI protocol.

Please provide the exact official procedure to manually locate, delete, and correctly reinstall the A-Series Host Integration Files/Scripts for Cubase Pro, as the automatic installer process is failing to correct this deep conflict.

However, as detailed in my original post, I have already extensively checked and implemented solutions of this nature (general host integration guides) and they have failed to resolve the issue.

The problem persists even after undertaking the most aggressive troubleshooting steps, which proves this is a deep, systemic conflict requiring specialized attention:

Tested on 2 separate PCs (Desktop & Laptop): Problem replicates exactly on both clean systems.
Full Reinstallation Failure: Both Cubase Pro and all Komplete Kontrol applications/drivers were completely uninstalled (including from Device Manager) and cleanly reinstalled.
Core Symptom Persists: The DAW Control signals continue to be misinterpreted as VST panel pop-up commands.

I kindly request that this issue be escalated to a senior technician or specialist who can provide guidance on manually checking and adjusting the specific Host Integration Script/XML file that governs the A49's communication with Cubase, as the automatic installer is clearly failing to place this file correctly.

Deep and/or systemic not withstanding - you do know that Cubase 12 is out of support and Cubase 13 is ending soon?

Highly doubtful you will get any third party support for these two versions now.

Have you take any time to discuss this with Steinberg?
